The Iris collection has at last started!

I have spent months with my structures and sampling the results, so it is very exciting to have started weaving.  There will be 3 warps and 6 wraps in all.  I have made it a policy to keep one of each collection for myself as I enjoy wearing my own work; so much of me has gone into its production.

This wrap, like so many of my designs, will have 2 faces when complete, which gives an added dimension to the wrap when worn.    In addition, there is my 'signature' use of irregular threading.

The colour inspiration for these 2 wraps comes from the beautiful work of Sharon Freeman.

I have been sampling a few of my 'maze' inspired structures using a graduated colours warp, which is in keeping with the uneven colours of weathered metal.  I have decided to have an installation of six panels for the final MAde Show.  I have various combinations of structures for this, and am undecided yet which way to go with them.  I want all the elements to be in place by Easter so that I have plenty of time for the weaving as well as the other tasks I will be undertaking in the final project.
