Well I was quite tired after completing the MA and having staged the exhibition. However, I am pleased to say I achieved a good MA result.
Post MA I had many domestic activities to attend to, and all those activities took me far longer than I anticipated. But the backlog had to be cleared. That is now done and I have a warp on the loom again.
The proposed collection of lengths will continue in the same vein as the concluding structures from the MA. Indeed, I want to take my threading ideas to a new level of complexity and the planning of such has taken a little time.
However, I have a new colour scheme to explore. The colours are of rust and verdigris, which I find quite interesting and they are likely to be bold and exciting together.
Apart from the new practical work I am about to embark on, I have various other ideas in the pipeline to progress my practice. Onwards and upwards. A photo of the new work on the loom will follow in due course.

I have been sampling a few of my 'maze' inspired structures using a graduated colours warp, which is in keeping with the uneven colours of weathered metal. I have decided to have an installation of six panels for the final MAde Show. I have various combinations of structures for this, and am undecided yet which way to go with them. I want all the elements to be in place by Easter so that I have plenty of time for the weaving as well as the other tasks I will be undertaking in the final project.
