Here we are - 5 of the 6 panels showing in the photo. The installation is larger than I imagined, having only seen the frame on the floor, but that is great, as I have the required 'walking around and in and out' space I wanted. The James Hockey and the Sculpture Gallery look super, and if anyone is able to, they should pay a visit. All the disciplines of the MA and MFA course are covered. Some of the ceramics, glass and other pieces are for sale, the details of which are in the file with the invigilator in each gallery. Mine can be sold as individual panels or the intention is to convert the wraps after the show comes down. The Private View is on Friday 30 August between 6.30-9.00pm. The show is open until Monday 9 September and closed on Sundays. Weekdays hours are 9.30-5.00pm and Saturday 10.00-4.00pm.
The week before I handed in I was privileged to assist in the setting up of Cloth and Memory2 , Salts Mill, Saltaire, Yorkshire where 23 artists are exhibiting. All the artists have created site specific work and it is well worth a visit. www.clothandmemory.com/
